IGI are looking for an experienced geochemist or petroleum systems analyst to work alongside Paul Farrimond and Dan Cornford, ensuring the long-term sustainability of the company.
IGI is the world’s largest independent integrated geochemistry consultancy, data and software company. Founded in 1983 by Chris Cornford, and now managed and run by Paul Farrimond (geochemistry & petroleum systems) and Dan Cornford (software & data science) we have a long-term ambition to consolidate our position in the oil and gas exploration sector, while broadening our skills in production and decommissioning. We aspire to develop our scientific data management, visualisation and data analysis software into an even wider range of application domains.
We are looking for an expert, ideally with academic and/or commercial experience, to work with Paul and Dan to develop IGI’s expertise and profile. While we are primarily looking for someone with petroleum systems expertise, the specific area of interest and expertise can be across a range of areas, including exploration, production and decommissioning. For the right person and profile, skills in areas beyond that would be considered, for example environmental geochemistry, or forensic geochemistry.
It is essential that you fit the culture of IGI. Our focus is on delivering scientific excellence with a professional and relaxed approach. We are driven by doing the right thing, first and foremost.
In the role you will be able to shape and steer the future of IGI with Dan and Paul. We want someone who has ideas and will challenge us to improve and expand our knowledge and skills.
In return we will offer a sustainable lifestyle, generous salary and bonus package, flexible working arrangements, and influence on the company direction. The role will most likely be based in our Devon office, although we also have an office in Birmingham, UK.
