Over recent years IGI has been involved in an increasing number of geochemical and basin modelling projects along Canada's eastern coast. As a result of this we have assembled an extensive geochemical database for the region. Natural Resources Canada (NRCAN) make geochemical data publicly available through their Basin Database. IGI have systematically downloaded these data and imported them into p:IGI-3 software, integrating available well and lithostratigraphy information where available to ensure that the database is ready to be used in regional and more localised studies.
IGI's East Coast Canada Database is routinely updated at the start of each year to ensure that all data currently available from the NRCAN website are imported, quality controlled and ready for interpretation.
East Coast Canada Geochemical Database
The East Coast Canada Database contains over 49,800 samples from 270 wells across the region. It has been put together using publicly available geochemical data from Natural Resources Canada (NRCAN). Data is included for over 49,500 rocks and 256 fluids. Data range from screening analyses through to saturate GC. This database is an excellent starting point for both regional study and more focused investigation.
