The 4th Iraqi Petroleum Conference

Paul Farrimond and Raingard Haberer attended this conference, which was held at the Imperial College, London, on 13th -14th September 2012. Raingard presented parts of the outcome of the “Petroleum systems in Iraq” study undertaken in collaboration with Lynx and David Boote in a talk entitled “Organic geochemical evaluation of the petroleum systems in Iraq”.

USSHER Society Annual Conference

This conference was attended in January by Andrew Green, Chris Cornford and Andy Mort and was held in Exmouth, UK.

DevWeek

DevWeek, held in London in March was attended by four of IGI’s programming team; Anthony Jones, Christian, Bala and Mitchell.

AAPG Shale Gas Conference

Held in Poland in May, IGI had attendance at this AAPG conference from Andrew Green

Dan Cornford attended this conference in June which was held in London

PESGB Africa conference (Africa: A Legacy of Exploration and Discovery)
This conference was held in London on 7th-8th September 2011, and was attended by Paul Farrimond.

Source Rocks: Character, Prediction and Value
A conference entitled Source Rocks: Character, Prediction and Value took place at the Geological Society, London, on 12th-14th September. Both Paul Farrimond and Andrew Green were at this meeting.

Africa: A Legacy of Exploration and Discovery

Paul Farrimond attended this conference, which was held at the Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre in London on 7th-8th September, and arranged by the Petroleum Exploration Society of Great Britain (PESGB).

25th International Meeting on Organic Geochemistry

This major international meeting is held every two years, and was previously organized by IGI (Torquay, 2007). Last time it was held in Bremen (2009), and this time it took place in Interlaken, Switzerland, on 18th-23rd September. Three staff from IGI attended: Chris Cornford, Raingard Haberer and Gion Kuper. There will be two posters by IGI staff:

12th ALAGO Congress, Montevideo, Uruguay

Paul Farrimond attended the 12th Congress of the Latin American Association of Organic Geochemistry (ALAGO) from 14th-19th November. He presented a talk, co-authored by Daniel Stoddart of Lundin Petroleum, entitled "Exploring fluid inclusion stratigraphy (FIS) data from exploration wells".

AAPG European Region Annual Conference

Paul Farrimond attended the 2010 AAPG European Region Annual Conference (Exploration in the Black Sea and Caspian Regions) on 17-19 October. He presented a talk, co-authored by Stefania Gheorghe and Heiko Oterdoom of Petrom OMV, entitled "Geochemical evaluation of selected gases and condensates from Southern Romania".

12th Norwegian Meeting on Organic Geochemistry, Asker near Oslo, Norway

Paul Farrimond and Raingard Haberer attended this very interesting conference and were pleased to meet so many colleagues and friends.
Paul presented a talk co-authored with Daniel Stoddart of Lundin entitled "Understanding Fluid Inclusion Stratigraphy (FIS) data".
