General Information

IGI offers a range of training courses in petroleum geochemistry and basin modelling, and geological field courses.

In addition to offering training for individual clients in their own offices, IGI also has training facilities and accommodation at its offices in North Devon, England. The magnificent house and grounds provide an ideal location for the running of geochemical and basin modelling courses both on a single and multi-client basis.

The courses are run on a workshop basis with lectures interspersed with related worked examples. Surrounded by spectacular and historic geology, short field excursions within North Devon related to the course content can be included in the programme. Overnight excursions to study the petroleum geochemistry and geology of the world famous Dorset coast can also be included as part of a training course, and combined field- and classroom-based training courses based entirely in Dorset have proven very popular in the past.

For single clients, IGI will build a training course to meet the specific needs of that company. We have developed a large number of course modules that can be arranged in various ways to produce a range of bespoke courses, and we are continuing to add new modules to our range.
